12th Dynasty

Ikernofert was a supervisor of the mining operations during the rule of Senwosret III. He was also the chief of artisans for the royal projects. Sometimes called Ikhernofret, he was an aristocrat who served as a treasurer for his nome. He prepared a shrine for Osiris that was portable as well as other temples and monuments. However, his main work was in the restoration of the temple complexes at Abydos. His period of service and accomplishments are recorded on his mortuary stela.
