Pabes

19th Dynasty

Pabes was the son of the gold-worker Khay, but seems to have been engaged in trade, one of the comparatively few businessmen known from ancient Egypt. On his tomb walls are scenes of ships at the port of Memphis being unloaded on to the quay.
