Dishasha Monuments in Egypt

Dishasha

Dishasha is a vast necropolis situated near a village by the same name. It is near Biba and south of Beni Suef. The necropolis dates from the end of the Old Kingdom and contains rock tombs and mastabas. The two most interesting are that of Inty, with a rock cut chapel cut out of three niches and is decorated in Old-Kingdom scenes and text and that of Iteti, with pillared canopy, rock cut chapel and vaulted cielings.
