Description:

A scene from the Book of Gates, in the burial chamber of Ramesses I, the first pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty. This tomb, one of the smallest in the entire Valley of the Kings, because of the extremely brief reign of the pharaoh, is decorated only in the chamber of the sarcophagus, with extremely vivid and brightly colored scenes that stand out against the light grey background.
