Bracelets from the Tomb of Djer

Djer was the second Pharaoh of Egypt's 1st Dynasty. Though Djer's tomb was plundered during the Old Kingdom, by the New Kingdom, it was considered to be the mythical burial place of Osiris. These four bracelets were found still in place on an arm, probably that of a woman, wrapped in linen bandages and discovered hidden in the wall of the tomb. The bracelets, which are well designed and original in form, use alternating colors to combine numerous and varied patterns.
