Period: 26th Dynasty Reign of Apries (589-570 BC)

Nespaqashuty was the son of the vizier Nespamedu, whom the annals of the Assyrian King Assurbanipal single out as "king of [the city of] This".

Nespaqashuty apparently succeeded him but apparently was required to submit to new masters after the Saite entry into Thebes. This statue was found as part of the famous Karnak cache of statues.
