Berenike II
Ptolemaic Dynasty
Berenike II was the wife of Ptolemy III Euergetes, and was the daughter of Ptolemy Magas, who was installed as governor of Cyrene. She was a benefactor of the temples throughout the land and increased more and more the honors of the gods, especially caring for Apis and Mnevis and the other sacred animals of the land at great expense.
