Nenwef
18th Dynasty
Nenwef was a military commander during the reign of Tuthmosis III. Tuthmosis was a great warrior pharaoh and was very active with cavalry units, that were newly formed during this era. These cavalry units were feared throughout the Mediterranean area. The groups were highly trained and very deadly in battle. Nenwef, or Nen-waf as he is shown in some records, and his family were honored on a mortuary stela.
