Thethi

11th Dynasty

Thethi was an official of the 11th Dynasty, serving in the reign of King Inyotef II (c. 2131-2082 B.C.). Thethi was attached to the royal court at Thebes, when the Inyotef clan ruled Upper Egypt before the reunification of the lands was accomplished by Mentuhotpe II. He was the chief treasurer and companion of the king, and he also supervised the building of the king's mortuary complex. Thethi was buried near the monarch on the western shore of Thebes.
